I have a turbochef C3 and it works fine. It heats up and stays hot, but i can't figure out how to program it to cook on a timer. The screen says "please wait - warming up - CC494*F IR 855*F" So the oven is nice and hot, but i can only put food in there and let it cook. Isn't there a way to program it to actually speed-cook someting on a timer? please help

The oven is not really able to cook on the fly,it is pre programmed so the times are set due to weight and mass.try to use the programs already set up and then trial and error will show which 1 to use, hope this helps

Display shows food done within 2-3 seconds. cycle is programmed for 15 seconds heating What is causing the problem

That typically means the microwave circuit is not powering on so the oven turns itself off. Most of the time when that happens you will get an error code flashing on the bottom of the screen. If F3 MAG CURR. Look at my previous answers on fixing that

Turbochef Tornado doesn't always heat food internally

you could have a problem with the microwave circuit. That would really be the only thing preventing the food from heating internally. I would call turbochef and call for warrenty service again. Is the bread comming out nice and toasty. If the blower for the convection circuit is weak or sticking this also cause the same effect of not properly cooked food.

So check microwave circuit and also check the blower.

Hope this helps if you need more in depth advice feel free to ask

F3 FUSE BLOWING. DURING MAG AMPERAGE TEST 17.25 AMPS DOESNT BLOW FUSE AFTER 15 TO 20 SECONDS OF MAG TEST MODE. BLOWS 10 SECONDS AFTER STARTING TRUE COOK CYCLE. 208 VOLT OVEN. STEST SHOWS ALL ITEMS...

so you seem to know alot or enough to get by on this oven and you have the testing equipment clearly since you gave me the amp reading.

17.25 is just a little to high. Which is prolly why your having a hard time figuring out the problem. The next thing i would check would be the HV transformers. One of them is prolly pulling just to much. They should be somewhat even.

Discharge the HV Cap before continuing
Unplug the wire coming from the first cap to the transformer at the transformer and then energize the mag current record your amps

then plug that one back in and repeat for the other cap and HV transformer

hopefully you will notice a big difference in the amps between the two transformers

if that didn't work you will need to measure the windings of each transformer of which turbochef will give you this info

Also if the oven is working in test mode but not in a true cycle. Run it in a true cycle. Clamp your meter on then power up the oven and run the cycle that blows the fuse. See if the amps spike before the fuse blows

These fuses are expensive, too expensive to be blowing testing the oven. Bring the fuse to home depot and buy a bunch from them. There not an exact match, they will be a little short but will work for testing purposes. Once fixed buy the proper fuse from turbochef there around 10 bucks each

Good luck and don’t get down that you replaced those parts and its still not working. Most repair company’s replace all those parts anyway. Your typical bill to fix this problem is around 1800.
