Browser window problems

My browser window on an Acer Aspire 5050 will not show the toolbars at the top of the browser or the "minimize/exit" buttons at the top of the address. Also there is no place to input a url and in the toolbar at the bottom of my screen, it doesn't even show that there is a browser window open. Is there anything I can do to fix this without having to pay for it to be done?

You probably have IE in the full screen mode:
hit F11, it should bring it back to normal.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

How do I remove yahoo browser from firefox?

Hi,

Try these steps it will surely help you:

here are two ways to remove the Yahoo! Toolbar for Mozilla Firefox. The easiest way is to use the "Uninstall" menu item:
Click the Pencil menu.
Click "Uninstall".
Enter any feedback you'd like to send to Yahoo! about why you're uninstalling the toolbar.
Click "Uninstall".
Restart your browser.
If that doesn't work, you can also use the Extension Manager in Firefox to remove the Yahoo! Toolbar extension:
Click the "Tools" menu in the Firefox browser.
Click the "Extensions" menu item.
In the Extensions Manager window scroll until you find the Yahoo! Toolbar extension.
Click the Yahoo! Toolbar extension.
Click "Uninstall".
Click "OK" in the "Uninstall Yahoo! Toolbar" window.
Exit Extensions Manager and restart your browser.
Either one of these methods will uninstall Yahoo! Toolbar from your browser. If neither works, your user profile is corrupt. You might need to create a new user profile for your browser.

A solution to that is to install Windows Vista Ultimate on top of your old vista installation. Just insert your Vista DVD and restart your computer. And simply follow the instructions for the installation.

If you place your Win7 disk in the DVD drive boot the laptop from the disk and choose to install a new system.
Follow the menu and prompts.
When it has installed download the drivers from Acer.com otherwise you will get problems.
Hope that helps.

Acer aspire browser viewable area shrinks down to nothing

Hello,
I do not know why the viewing area decreases in size: I suspect that you may have too many toolbars. Remove the ones you do not need. In IE you right click on a tool bar and deselect ( If there is a check mark near a tool bar, click and the check mark will disappear)

Also you can use the full screen by Pressing F11 in you browser. You exit the full screen by pressing F11 again.
I believe this last option is your best bet short of customizing more fully your browser.

Hope it helps.
