Gh700 grasshog trimmer - round plastic gear drive broke in half - can I get a replacement or even a metal gear?

Same problem; GH700 with a stripped gear, inside the casing.
I wish places with replacement parts sell uncommonly broken pieces... I didn't have an account for commenting a request in that site.
If someone asked them, it could be available in a matter of time.

Flymo electric power trim..dual auto feed line keeps getting wound around the drive shaft...bloody annoying any suggestions.. Ian (M)

Most trimmers have a cutter on the shield by the spool. This cuts excess line off to prevent it from wrapping around the shaft. If the shield has been removed or the cutter is dull it will allow extra line to wrap around the shaft.

Have Craftsman gas weedwacker double line ran out.

take off knob that holds on the spool on bottom of weedwacker, remove spool, there are notches around the outside splines on the bottom of the spool. (the bottom is the end that fits up into the spool housing. there are 2 little holes opposite one another on the spool - one on each section. Cut two lengths of line about 6 feet long. stick line into first hole (near bottom of unit) wrap line around spool. once wrapped line gets short - to the point where you cant wrap it anymore - stick the end into one of the notches - do the same with the other line - insert spool back into housing - make sure spring is attached to the spool and lines come out of the holes in the housing - reinsert knob and tighten - make sure as you are doing this you unseat the ends of the lines off of the notches on the spool and they are out through the housing - tighten knob and you should be good to go

The auto feed on the grasshogs don't work

Replace the line with a star-shaped .065" line (I use Rino-Tuff from Home Depot online). I have the GH700 (2 line) model and it fixed the problem for me. Other people have fixed the problem with different shaped lines - apparently there is one at Walmart that works well on electric trimmers. Just don't use the smooth round line. I tried the manual advice and it was bunk.

Ryobi 105r replacement line

Look at the top of the spool. Line up the two triangles/arrows by turning the inner wheel The inner wheel is a little smaller that the diameter of the spool and has grip lines scored around it. Just below those arrows, on the side of the spool there is a hole where the line would come out of. Thread the line into that hole until it comes out through a hole on the top of the spool. Then bend the end of that line over and stick it in the little hole next to the hole it came through. That will lock it in place. Pull on the other end of the line to tighten it. Now turn that inner wheel and the line will wrap around on the inside of the spool. When it stops and you can't turn it anymore, it's full. Cut the line off about 10 inches or so outside of the spool.
