Help! My Fujifilm Finepix suddenly stopped focusing. As far as I know it hasn't been dropped or anything. Our daughter has been playing with the buttons, though. I left the battery out for a while so it would reset, but it is still not focusing. It is less than a year old. Thanks, Lina

MyS5000 suddenly failed to focus. The image screen, did return to normal two or three times but has now become totally blurred. I can hear the camera making several `d` sounds as if it was trying to focus and the makeup of the screen is a lot of distorted lines and changing colour patterns. What is the problem do you think. Please

Try a master reset. Should be somewhere in the menu.
If that doesnt work take it back to the shop. It will be repaired under warranty.

My Fujifilm Finepix XP21 takes pictures but always blurry and not focusing? Any body

Have you tried focusing before you take a photo? To do this, press down the shutter button on your camera but don't push it far enough to take a photo. This enables the camera to focus on what it's about to photograph before you press the shutter button again and take the photo.

My camera is fujifilm finepix s5700 (s700) and my daughter drop it. Camera shows focus error on a distorted screen. what is the solution please?

Ew. Sounds like she broke something inside. Many cameras made today are considered to be disposable. If they break under warranty, then you may have to call your extended warranty insurance company, if you have that coverage.

Otherwise, it might be better to replace with a newer camera that has the same features for a lower cost than your fujifilm finepix s5700.

Technology is always changing at a break neck speed, and repair centers are unlikely to be able to fix miniature cameras as easily as one would like.

Good luck on this one.

Out of focus pictures on FinePix 50fd

Hi,

Your lens is stuck, you have two years warranty on this camera, ask your Fujifilm dept in your country or look at the fujifilm support pages.

Regards.

Fujifilm digital camera finepix a 500

Check ou this link: http:// www.digitalcamera-hq.com/digital-cameras/fuji-finepix-z1_question.html?qid=4289

After the basics (cleaning the lens, replacing the batteries, etc.), try dropping the camera on a carpeted area from about 2-3 feet. It worked for my Fuji A500 and 90% of the responders on the link. Everything on the web said it would cost ~$100 to fix. I was in the process of researching new cameras to buy and had nothing to lose by dropping it on the floor.
The error may be caused by debris in the zoom mechanism preventing it from working. Dropping the camera loosens the debris and voila!
