If it makes a sound but doesn't swing then the metal rod inside the motor casing was probably bent. If it makes no sound then it could be several different problems.
If it does make noise (my daughter did the same thing) then you can fix it, though it's not the easiest fix. Unplug it/remove batteries, and you'll need to remove the legs. Start removing screws to get to the motor casing, the first ones you'll need are in the battery compartment. Be careful as you're doing this, once you get the plastic casing off things can move around. Have someone as a second set of eyes if you need it.
Once you can see the guts look for a thin metal stick, no thicker than a telephone cord. Yup, that's what moves the swing. The metal is easily stressed. You can carefully power it up if you want to see how it works or make sure that little thing is moving. There's a small gear underneath all that, but you don't need to get to it.
Instead, you'll need to beef up that little stick. I used a leftover rubber gasket from a ceiling fan first, then I was so amazed it worked I took it back apart and used a longer piece of rubber tubing with a harder plastic tube over it (it's a very tight fit). It will still need to rock back and forth in it's little hole so don't go too crazy.
The one drawback is that I think it has a louder operation now, but the one thing that both my kids adored with the swing was the rhythmic tick-tock. If baby is happy, mama is happy.
Anyway, FP will sell you a whole new motor, or if you an find the exact part number you might be able to get a new pendulum. But I like fixing stuff, and I like free better, so if this is what yours needs I hope it helps. If this is but you don't follow what I've written I'm happy to try and take pictures of mine.
