Installing a Dual XDVD276 radio in a 2005 Chevy Impala without the factory end of the wiring harness.

You will need to splice the wires as it will be hard to find the right connector to attach to the harness wires. Use the wiring diagram for the car (get it at Alldatadiy.com) and the one that came with the Dual unit to figure out which wires connect to each other.

Can I hook up a pioneer deh-p3500 without a harness?

If you are talking about the radio harness, probably not. If you are talking about the wiring harness to plug it into the vehicle. The answer isn't so simple. Aftermarket radios have standardized wiring colors. BUT, they don't match vehicle wiring. So, unless you know your vehicles wiring diagram very well, I wouldn't recommend installing without the wiring harness. If the problem is that someone installed in your vehicle before this and cut the vehicle side of the harness, then I recommend you visit scosche or PAC website to see if it is available. It CAN be done, the question is SHOULD it be done. And the answer is no. Harnesses are very cheap these days, unless you have a data transfer style radio, then it gets a little costly. Most are around $7-$20. Hope this helps

I have a 1984 Volvo 240 DL 4 cylinder wagon, it has had some minor electrical issues (like the power locks turning on the back windshield wiper) and the other day the car's engine and power steering just...

You need to check your engine wiring harness. 84 is part of the crumbling, corroding wiring insulation years. If your harness has not been replaced, you may have to really scrounge around to find one of the "new" versions that has okay insulation on the wiring.
