Hello,
you could try putting the setting on Macro and that is the little flower
on the bottom along with the other buttons. then you'll have a nice
clear picture, just don't hold it tooo close to the item you are taking
a picture of.

When I turn it on, it makes a noise and the lense goes in and out a couple times before turning on, and then the screen is black. When I switch settings, the picture is blurry and when I try to zoom, it shuts off.
I have the same problem and setting it on Macro or Super Macro just shuts off the camera.
