This is a design flaw and can be corrected by enlarging the lid spout. First remove the plastic lid. Then use a fine grinder or sandpaper to remove approximately 1/8 inch of plastic from the lid spout. Follow the exact same contour of the oval spout. However, do not take off so much material that you disturb the small plastic tabs that hold the lid to the pot. Finish by slightly rounding the edges where the material was removed with fine sandpaper. No leaks - no drips.

Cuisinart DCC-2205TN coffee grounds coming through to pot and continuing to drip when pot is removed

Your problem is most likely the coarseness of the grind of the coffee you're using. Does your coffee maker have a metal/cone basket or the kind that takes a paper filter?

Be careful! The top will soon disconnect from the bottom! I've had the same problem for the last few months. This morning (11/19/10) the top of the pot seperated when I poured a cup of coffee and half a pot of piping hot coffee spilled down my right leg. I'm on hold with their customer service department as I type this. Has anybody else had the same issue?

Hmm. Better late than never. Just got home with ours. Same problem. Called Cuisinart 800 number. Catch is on top of handle. There is a slight lip on each side there. Pop it up with pressure on both sides simultaneously. To replace, line up lid carefully with top of carafe and press firmly until it pops back on.

Leaks at bottom

look for leaks up at the top by the top hinge.

mine leaks there. apparently a gasket is missing or just not tight enough.

you should see bubbles come out and see water go into the filter cone but some of it leaks down the inside (near the pot inside) and out the bottom of the maker and appears to be leakng from the bottorm.
