What make and model of PC and speakers are you using?

Have you tried plugging them into the green speaker output jack in the back of the tower?

If the speakers are built-in to the monitor then there should be a cord with a green phono plug on it---it plugs in to the green port on the back of the tower then you may have to go to control panel>sound and audio devices and make sure the volume and settings are ok

A450N needs new monitor - what monitor specs are required?

Any monitor will do unless you are trying to get one with the built in speakers that you have. Just make sure the monitor has the same type of connection that you currently have (VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc).

Where do I connect the speakers to the monitor. I have a Flatron L1922P monitor. I ordered 2.0 USB Multimedia speakers that come with a 3.5mm stereo plug and USB plug. I must not being doing something...

Your speakers do not plug into your monitor. Your speakers should be connected to a USB slot on your PC tower and the 3.5mm stereo plug should be put into the green stereo jack on your PC tower. If your audio jacks on your PC are not colour coded, then you should look for the jack which has a picture of a set of earphones over them.
Depending on your speakers, you may or may not be required to keep the stereo plug connected in order to get sound. Some models transmit model over the USB connection and others just use the USB connection as a way to supply power to the speakers and need the stereo plug to be connected in order to have sound. I suggest trying both.

Speaker connection for LG W2053TX monitor

This model of monitor does not come with speakers. In fact very monitors have speakers. You will need separate speakers for sound. Some monitors do come with external speakers which hook onto the monitor at the sides but they are still connected to the PC via a lead with a 2.5mm stereo plug into the sound output..

Need help getting audio to play on my HP 2009m monitor which is connected to my HP laptop.

Hi,
The speakers on the monitor will work only when the sound output from the laptop is connected to the monitor speakers. Please make sure that you connect the cable from "Audio OUT" (generally Green colored port where you connect your headphone or external speakers) on the Laptop to the "Audio IN" port on the monitor.
Please let me know if it works.

Thanks and Regards,
Srinivas

Lost manual for hp compact.

The speakers wires are normally color coded if the computer isn't ancient, the Speaker PLUG is green, if you are using the speakers in the monitor, then plug the green one from monitor to green jack on back of PC, (Microphone plug and jack is pink/Red).
If you are using other speakers 3rd party, 4.1,5.1, the hookup is different usually, But I think you need green to green, there should only be one green plug on back of PC, It may be labled sound out. but yours is probably green.
PS you also need to kake sure the monitor speakers dont require their own Power Supply/ AC adapter, Most of them do, while some desktop and monitor speakers do not just connect the cord ffrom monitor to green jack, "sound out". If this helps, thanks for the feedback

No sound

If speakers are built into the monitor, then there should be an audio cable that connects from the monitor to the green speaker out jack on the back of the computer.

If speakers are NOT built into the monitor, then buy a set of speakers from a store.

RELISYS MONITOR How do I get the speakers to work please ?

Hey...Dude,
To check if there a built-in speakers... look under the monitor and look for a audio jack usually located next to the VGA and power connections. If you got one, then you need a audio cable to connected to from your monitor to your pc audio output jack.
