GE remotes are built by Jasco. The manuals and code lists are available here: http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/universal-remote-codes.asp . Does your remote use 3-digit or 4-digit codes?
Try ORION 035, 121, 135, 191 for three-digit codes or ORION 0121 0135 0035 for four-digit codes.

if you are conncting it over component cable check your cables in the right spots if rca *red yellow nad white) then the cables may be bad or the refresh rate needs to be changed make sure the dvd player is selecting the correct output you are using.

First of all test that your remote works, programme it with another television/vsr or aux.
Every universal remote has there own code for a specific television, offen there are many codes for the same brand, just test them all. I bought a HQ remote and I had like 20 codes but none of them worked. Then I looked in my HQ manual and programmed the code for Orion vcr and now it's working great. The code was:1053. Good luck.

try 0000 in menu. Also owners manual should show how to set it to zeros & then you can unlock it or change PW

you can purchase a advanced universal remote or you can go through the menu manually on your set

if the code is not in the manual well then you need a new remote. orion is not common among households thats why they dont have it.
