PANASONIC FAX MACHINE PRINTING BLACK THICK LINE

Machine is in obvious need of repair.

Your scanner glass is caked with ink or lint. Open front cover and clean with windex or rubbing alcohol.

try cleaning the rollers with water in the feeder at the top check the glass too too see if it's dirty

Try making a copy of something or printing a transmission report or journal from the "reports" menu. If the same problem is apparent on these printouts, then your drum unit or toner cartridge need to be replaced

Try printing out a report. If the line is still there you need to use the wire cleaner on your print cartridge or if that doesn't work, replace the drum unit.

Probaby an LED segment is burned out in the scanner assembly.

We have a Panasonic UF-4100 and i am having problems faxing, it comes up with NO REC.PAPER 010

If you can copy ok you have effectively ruled out your machine as you have used both the scanning and printing mechanism of the machine.

It will probably be the fax on the other end as if it sends a poor quality page that's all your machine can receive, a poor line can also cause problems if it is from multiple faxes. If so have your provider check the line (you probably hear static on the line).

for printing of this machine ttr roll is use you check with another quality of that like canofax roll and cheak out for machine printing.

Noisy phone line can cause this or it could be drum cartridge or even fuser, check phone line for noise by listening to it, if noisy report it or put on required filter if using ADSL.

Also test machine when doing a copy, and when printing a report, is there a problem too?

without more info you fault is one of these.. line, drum cartridge , fuser or dirty scan glass (where originals are fed.)
