Check for power to the Home Theatre system. If you have lights on the front of the system, check your connections to the external speakers. Next check the output settings in your TV's setting menu. More info from you regarding this problem would have been helpful. I'm guessing your thoroughness is probably going to turn out to be a contributing factor.

The TV sound output is either switched off, the wrong setting. The same might apply to the Home Theatre system.

How do you get sound to come from tv out of speakers of home theatre system

It just depends on the tv you have. If you hook up the RCA jacks to the (Audio out) of the TV into one of the (AUX in) ports of the home Theatre system you should be able to geet the sound that comes from the TV to play out the theatre system. If you are watching through a cable box you will need to hook the RCA cables to the cable box (Audio out) too the theatre systems (AUX in), in insted.

Hi I have the Sony DAV-HDX285 home theatre system and I'm trying to get it to work with my Vizio 47" HD tv. I go thru the speaker setup with the dvd supplied and all speakers are working tthu the home...

I assume you mean the TV sound only comes out of the TV. THAT would involve internal audio controls at the TV.

Why don't you just connect the TV-related audio directly from each source to the DAV instead of through the TV, which adds NOTHING to the sound quality and may even degrade or limit it.

Try running the audio from each video source (NOT the TV, which is an output, not a source) to the HTR digitally so you'll get the best mutichannel sound possible. Then you can turn the TV speakers (assuming it has them) off for hi-end watching.

TV Audio won't come through the Home Theatre Speakers

why it doesn't come. just connect the RCA cable to the output pins of TV and connect them to the input female jacks of home theatre receiver. or if the TV has optical out and the home theatre reciever had optical in. thats the best option. just connect one optical cable to enjoy the 5.1 sound. tell me clear problem if u r nt solved.

You probably have too much power running to your power strip that you probably have your xbox, playstation, tv and home theatre system plugged into, try using seperate wall outlets for your tv and home theatre system

Home theatre but TV without audio outlet

I would suggest that you smash
Philips HTS w/a hammer!
I had better sound from TV alone! Only 2 speakers put out sound from TV. Recordings from DVR can not be heard very well w/all volumes at max. System sucks! You get what you pay for! $2500 LCD TV sounds worse w/Philips HTS than my son's $300 TV! ALL cables hooked up as instucted!!!!

Panasonic home Theatre

You need to obtain audio leads and connect from home theatre directly to audio input in back of tv - be careful as there are normally 2 in back of tv
