Hi! You need to check pump filter. It could be jammed with a coin or hair clip. Now take the machine outside and empty it then lay it on its side and you can access the pump. Take it off, stand up the machine and pour hot water into the soap draw and check water should run out of bottom freely taking any fluff or bits with it. Now take apart the pump and clean it and dry all components before re-assembly. If the machine still doesn?t work then you need to replace the pump. If the water collection tank is full, it will not turn ON. Since you said the unit worked fine for one day and now it won't turn ON, more than likely, that's the problem. After draining the tank, the unit should reset itself and turn ON like it should.

The drain plug is on the rear of the unit, just above floor level. You can either drain it into a low sided pan or bowl that's capable of holding up yo a quart of water. O r roll the unit to a floor drain or outside to drain it. If you choose to drain it into a pan, turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before draining it.

There is a small button-looking screw in the very bottom, at the back of your Haier portable A/C. Screw that out, and tip (very carefully) all the water out. Your unit should power right back up, but I would give it an hour or two and then do so.
