From where I've looked, this phone does not have a recall upon it. Simply try to change you ring tone. If that doesn't work, go to your local Verizon store and ask there.
Hi, I think this is probably a completely unrelated problem/solution, but I want to throw it out there just in case. I have a different phone - a Samsung Trance, and I had the same problem. One day, suddenly everytime I viewed a text message, my phone would either call back the number or flash "No Callback # Available", and it drove me nuts since I couldn't view any text message. I also couldn't hear calls or listen to music on my phone. In the end, it ended up being an earphone problem because everything worked again after I plugged in and then unplugged the earphone.
Like I said, my problem is probably unrelated and I apologize if this was not helpful at all, but you could try checking out your earphones and see how it goes.
it's giant at first when you have a small amout of numbers, but the point of a smaller size is that when you type lots of numbers, you can see them all at once
Mine has done this twice. Only for TXT messaging which is what I use the full keyboard for. The first time I think I had too many apps on that were eating up my memory, so I deleted one that took up a lot of room and it started working again and was fine. Then it did this again yesterday. I did a hard restart (after having restarted it from the keypad, which didn't seem to work) I pulled the battery - which I hate doing. It started working as soon as it rebooted. Gotta love technology :)
