Can't hear audio on video playback (neither direct from camera nor from pc)

I 've just bought a digital camera (olympus fe-25) and when I record a video, I can't hear the sound from the video. Can you please help me? Afroditi-Greece

    I know and my camera i have an Olympus type too and before i heard sound now there's no sound i changed the batteries i don't know what to do?

    but it has a "silence mode", why does it have this option if it doesn't have any sound?

This is because the camera is not capable to record the sound. The camera was not designed with any audio speakers to be able to record and playback sound recorded during movie mode.

On the video setting on my camera, it wont let me record sound.. is there something wrong with the sound?
i think you have to connect your camera to a tv using the supplied audio/video cable just to hear the sound during the playback or transfer the videos to the computer's hard disk and open it using windows media player , any player you are using.

Why cant i hear the noise when i playback what i recorded?
The FE-4000 lacks a loudspeaker. You can record sound on movie clips but you cannot hear it unless you play back after uploading the video to a host pc.

I can not hear the videos that I have recorded on playback. I can only hear the videos if i connect the camera to the TV. I don't know how to listen to them.. Any help??
You can't hear them becuase there isn't a speaker on the camera. You might be able to find an adapter that has two female ends, one for head phones and one for audio cables. Otherwise I'd suggest taking the camera to your local Radio Shack, or simmlar electronics store, or a camera store and explain your issue and they should be able to give you a good solution.

No Audio/Sound when uploaded to Computer
Unfortunately this camera does not have the functionality to record sound during the movie recording mode. The camera was not designed with any input or output audio speakers. This is why you do not hear any sound on the playback.

No sound recording during video recording with olympus fe 170
Hi,

To my knowledge, an Olympus FE-170 has no audio recording capability and records the video on 15FPS.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

well did u use zoom while u made the videos???? if u did forget because the camera while doing zoom doesn´t record sound, u didn´t use zoom, probably the camera microphone needs to be replaced.
