My nokia e 71 is locked to optus and i wanna unlock it..optus gonna charge me $80 to unlock it where as the mobile cost only $1000..its not worth to pay $80 to unlock..

How to change nokia e71 offline mode to online e71
If there's no other problem with your handset, you can simply deactivate the Offline Mode from Profile settings. Go to profile and activate another profile (name) like General or whatever you like.
But if there's problem doing this, you need to check the sim card first, try it on another handset, if it's working on another phone, then clean the sim card connector on your phone, try again and check, if the problem persists, your only option is to visit a Service Center or to a mobile repairing shop and get it repaired, could be software or could be with the sim connector alone. If it's gonna worse, you'll need to replace or jumper the sim IC which is not so simple and will only be able to do by an experienced mobile technician.

Hi im using nokia e71 some of the letter keys r nt working .so can u suggest me whether the problem is with hardware or software ?
wait tell the phone goes to screen saver and press those keys the lcd will light up but if not I think its from keybad ICs then you have to go to service center
