classic old PC failures,. all PC' end up like this, like cars with bald tires, same deal.
nice job telling real PC model
Compaq Presario Cq57-229wm
Compaq is now HP. (owned) and the name ended 2013, no more sold with Compaq logo.
your PC is 2011 made, and not super old as some can be.
a windows 7 PC , w8 is not ready then,. on up
product was wipe ( opens up a huge abyss) what in the the world is that.
I will do wild guessing now, (why?)
1: bought a 3 year old used PC dead, and did not read the sales ad.
NO OS , sold with NO OS? <<< didnt read that.? ooops
if yes nobody can know how they wiped it.
2: you wiped it then forget to say how (vast ways)
3: do you have personal data on this PC ,and do not want to lose it as it was never backed UP?
wipe a word that means ERASE
an Erased OS is now gone
if done fully the w7 recovery image partition is goon too. ouch
the manual on your PC covers topic recovery.
even show recover with and with out your data remains.
page 89 in your free manual
shows
If the recovery partition is present, (how to discover it)
if not lost or erased (oops)
page 91 states
Turn on or restart the computer, and then press esc while the "Press the ESC key for Startup
Menu" message is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Then, press f11 while the "F11
(System Recovery)" message is displayed on the screen
IF THIS f11 KEY FAILS TO FIND THE IMAGE, W7 IS NOW GONE FOREVER THE FREE ONE YOU OWN. IS GONE.
some PCs this model have no image new in the box
and you are told to make your own recovery disks. DVD-R
here it is , free (RTM)
