I would suspect the belt tensioner is going bad.
Since my original post, I have gone through 4 more belts and I have replaced the idler pulley. This took care of the problem for about a week and a half/ two weeks. Now, it is starting to do the same thing all over again! I am running out of options and everywhere I take it, they can't seem to figure out the problem either. They keep telling me to replace parts that I have already replaced. I just started a new job and right now, I can't afford to get a new car. I just don't know what to do anymore! Please...can anyone help me??
There are 3 reasons why a belt will squeal. If it is too loose, if it can't get traction or if it is trying to turn something that doesn't want to turn. You could try going 1 size smaller wirth the belt to see if that helps but I don't think it will. You should also check your pulleys for alignment. This is as simple as putting the belt on and looking at the belt from both sides, you are looking for a bends in the belt. If there is themn the offending part needs to be shimmed out or in with washers so it makes the belt line up with the rest of the system.
With the belt off it is time to check things out. First, make sure you run your finger around each pulley, touching both insides. If there is any time your finger catchs on something, file it smooth. The inside of those pulleys must be perfectly smooth. Spin each implement to see if it turns smoothly. The new idler and alternator will be a little stiff but should be even. any hesitation or hard spot requiring extra effort to turn them means they should be replaced. They are defective and the new parts will be covered by warranty, Now put the new belt on and get someone to start the engine and rev it a bit while you watch the belt and pulleys. The crankshaft, at the bottom of the engine, turns the belt. The belt turns everything else. When the belt is squealing something will be turning at a different speed that the belt. That part is the problem and will need to be replaced.

there's your problem......you have a cheap alternator. Buy atleast refurbished never used once especially from a junk yard. Sounds like the pulley is worn.

SOURCE: squealing NOISE possibly from fan belt
Belts stretch from new. Try to tighten them again. Hopefully the are not glazed or this may stay with you.

New belts tend to stretch after a week or two.Simply retighten the belt now that it has settled in & it will be fine. Was it the alternator belt? That is the most common one to sqeal after replacement.Hope this helps you.

yeh, mine did the same thing with a hydralic belt. it was the bearings. mazda capellas use a lot of 6202 bearings which, luckily, are fairly cheap, and are commonly used in pool pumps. so you can find them at pool pump repair stores. although pool pumps use 6202 2RSR bearings. these are just the water proof type, but are excactly the same size and can be used.
to test if it is a bearing problem, remove the belt and try to twist the individual wheels by hand, you should be able to turn the 2 smaller ones.
from memory the alternator belt is in a fairly in accessable postition so the belt is going to be hard to put back on.try other things first, like wiping the inner side of the belt with a dry cloth to remove moisture.
worst case senario is your alternator has, or is starting to, seize up and you need to replace it.
