1) Remove the platter - just lift up
2) Underneath the platter, you'll see a small lip section
3) Wrap the belt around this lip
4) Put platter back on turntable
5) Rotate platter until you see the motor shaft through the holes on the platter - a brass round looking piece
6) Pinch the belt around the motor shaft.
7) That's it.

Belt drive rubber

Remove the rubber mat. Underneath the mat, you will see holes on either side of the table. You should see the belt around the center of the platter, if it's any good. If it has fallen off, the belt has stretched beyond spec. If it's still on the platter(table), though on of the holes mentioned above, if you rotate the platter, you find find the motor pulley. Pull the belt from the platter center and slip it back over the motor pulley. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

It looks like your amplifier has not got a "magnetic cartridge pre-amp" built in, or you have it connected to a tape/cd input instead of a phono input. All you need is to search online for one and that will connect between your deck and amp and it will then be the same volume as anything else connected to the amp.

I need a belt for a numark tt1610 where can i find one

Click here http://www.turntableneedles.com/Flat-Belt-Medium-2575-Inch_p_263.html - this is for the TT1600, but from what I understand, all the TT16xx models used the same belt. Too bad Numark don't have them in stock anymore - they would've been much cheaper!

My numark TT500 turntable doesn't spin when i press play

Sounds to me like the belt has snapped or slipped off. Lift the platter off the table. On the inside of the platter you will notice a second ring, or rim. the belt should be put on the outside of the second rim while the platter is still in your hands. Next, slide back the platter and look for the spindle running the platter through one of the big holes in the platter. Slip the belt onto the spindle and turn with your hand to make sure it runs freely. Hope this helpsmicmor100.jpg

Balance has snapped off my arm, where can i get a replacement and where do i buy a new belt?

LPtubes.com or follow this link exactly..
http://www.lptunes.com/Numark-turntable-belts-s/106.htm
The 1600 belt should fit on 1610's with no problem.

Balanced snapped off? You will need to buy another replacement Tone arm at: http://www.instrumentalparts.com/allnusppa.html
Mine broke while in transport on a plane. Would suggest taking weight off when transporting or purchase a cover for the tt1610's if one wil fit on it.

Hope this helps.

Examine the cantilever very carefully - you sure that the stylus is there? Not uncommon for the lever to be perfecto but the stylus is gone. So when you go to play a record the arm slides all over the place!

You've left a wire off sumwhere or there is an earth fault. However it may be prucent to turn the engine over by hand as it's recommended that after the head comes off the bottom end gets rebuilt as well coz when the belt snaps it can lock the crack up and put a piton thru the block . Don't wanna be the bearer of bad news but i've seen it happen it ain't pretty.
