I'm fairly certain that this board uses an AC97 chipset, the driver can be downloaded at this link.

Post your results back here (especially if this driver doesn't fix your problem).

I have xp4 evo system , i have driver disc that came with barebones unit i could send you copy , JOHN...

I can not find information on the motherboard specifically and whatother chips are on the board but this is where you can find chipsetdrivers for the main intel i845GV chipset.

Have you install the sound card driver? sometime it came with your motherboard cd.
Try to install it first.

If you still got no sound, i think your on board soundcard has been damage. Just buy add on sound card and plug it into your pci slot.
and off course install it driver before you try to run the sound/music program.

What make is your motherboard? If you open up the case and there should be info and model number on it. The just go to the makers website a get appropiate drivers.
