Nikon FM10 Winder came out

Someone pulled the winder out of its socket on my FM10. I still have the actual winder, but I do not have the piece that attaches the winder to the camera. Is there anyway order a replacement piece/any advice?

Not sure exactly which piece you mean, but take a look at http://uscamera.com/fe10-fm10.htm

Testimonial: "http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Nikon-FM-Rewind-Shaft-/290550111601?hash=item43a622dd71 http://uscamera.com/FAA31051-163.htm these are the two things i found that are closest to what i need i think. I have the actual knob used to rewind the film, but i do not have the shaft that connects the knob to the camera so that i can turn the knob. do you know which one of these two might be the right one? thanks for showing the site by the way"

I see these frequently on eBay. Do you need the shaft or the knob? And note that there are usually a couple of washers as well. No current auctions for that part but you might also find a parts donor with a little perserverance.

SOURCE: Film winder is loose and meter is not accurate.

It is absolutely OK, my dad too has one (not older than urs). make it tighter, but u need some screws drivers (specially for cameras). Open the camera and tighten the screw holding the winder arm. Try this only if u have experience otherwise u may end up with a scramble of camera. About the F-Stop, i have no idea why this is so... might be the technology is gone too advanced compared to the 1978.

SOURCE: Nikon FE film winder jammed.

Is it the viewfinder or the film advance lever? If the viewfinder is not showing any image and the shutter is not getting released, then it could be a problem with the mirror box.To confirm, remove the lens and see if it gets released. To align the lens, you have to take it to the nearest service center (or repair shop).

If thhat piece looks like screw cap (with the groove), then you have to unscrew it in order to get the stem out.
