Why is emachine stuck in running on safe mode?

• EMachines laptops run the Microsoft Windows operating system.
  Therefore, if you want to change the password you have set on your laptop, there is nothing specific you need to do with the laptop itself.
  
  Rather, the change simply needs to be made with the Windows operating system.
  Changing your password from time to time is a good idea if the laptop is in a location where others can easily access it.
  
  
  Turn on your eMachines computer.
  
  
  Press the "F8" key as your computer starts up. A screen called the "Windows Advanced Boot Options" menu will appear on your monitor.
  
  Highlight "Safe Mode."
  Tap "Enter" to start your computer in Safe Mode. Click "Start" and type "lusrmgr.msc" into the "Search" box.
  
  Press "Enter."
  Click "Local Users and Groups," then click "Users."
  
  Right-click the account for which you are resetting the password and choose "Set Password."
  Type the new password, then type it again to confirm it.
  
  Click "OK."
  

Remove ALL media, DVD,CD,USB, Unplug, remove battery, plug in , reboot, OR, unplug while it's on and repeat if necessary. Restart computer or laptop. Press repeatedly F8 and choose Safe Mode with networking. Uninstall any other antivirus solution. Install AVAST - www.avast.com and Malwarebytes Anti Malware - http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_pro/. Update antivirus definitions on both of them. Run Malwarebytes and choose a full scan. After the scan is complete choose to remove all infections and the computer will restart. Start again in safe mode, choose Boot time SCAN from avast and restart computer. Delete all infected files - it will ask for your choice: 1- delete, 2 - delete all 3 ignore 4 ignore all etc. Post here the results. If in safe mode you cannot connect to internet download Malwarebytes in another computer and use a usb stick to copy to infected computer. When you will use usb stick in another computer again scan it !!!!

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On until you get the Safe Mode Option.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->Click 'System Restore'

A 'System Restore' window will appear.

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next

Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '

Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot your problem should be resolved.

ONCE IN SAFE MODE GO TO SYSTEM RESTORE AND RESTORE UR SYSTEM TRY THAT AS FIRST OPTION

I would boot in safe mode and attempt to run a scan for viruses or malware. That is what I would think the problem was
You could also do a system restore to before this problem started in safe mode. If you dont know how to get to safe mode google it. something like "Safe mode Windows Vista"

I faced the same problem with my laptop. I tried several methods. But none of them worked. But finally when I tied the following procedure it worked.

The following instructions work on a computer running Windows XP only, this is assuming that your laptop has XP installed on it. Use this only if your computer wont come out of safe mode by restarting it.

Go to Start > Run and type "msconfig" in the dialog box that comes up. Press Enter or OK and the System Configuration Utility box should come up. Click on the "BOOT.INI" tab. Down in the bottom left corner of the window under where it says Boot Options there will be several checkboxes. Make sure that the /SAFEBOOT box DOES NOT have a check in the box. When it is unchecked restart your computer and you should be out of safe mode.

whn you say the computer boots up in safe mode..
in this list you should have an option called as load windows normally (similar to this)
use the arrow keys and select it.. and then press enter and please do let us know what happens..
it should ideally work...and if it boots up to your desktop please investigate..

First of all remove ant cd from drive when booting up uinless you are using a bootable windows disk. if the problem still persist when then computer starts booting up keep pressing f8 until you get the choice to go in to safe mode. Once in safe mode choose the option when prompted go to system restore points and restore the computer to a date availabe wich is before the date of the problems.

If you still have the recovery discs available then press F11 or F12 depending on which one is the boot menu and boot from the CD and reinstall Vista from it onth the hard drive.
