search your area for your local pool pump motor repair guy with free testing

to wire a single speed motor you use only the black, white and green wire. there is usually a wiring diagram on the side of the motor to show how this is done.
no wiring diagram then put the black wire on the L1 or H1 post and the white wire to the common and of course the green to ground

How do I change the front and back bearings in this pool pump motor 1hp. ao smith motot I did the shaft seal last year myself but needs bearings now. thank,Bill

A motor set up for 230VAC will run on 115VAC but will overheat and shut down over time. The motor nameplate should tell you what wires need to be reconnected and how in order to operate the motor on a 115VAC circuit. Once you change the wires your motor should go back to normal operation.

a rebuilt motor is the cheap way $85 ,new around 200, the impeller will need to be ID to get the right size motor. search for your local pool pump repair guy with free motor testing, use your zip code in the search. you might get your old motor rebuilt and thats even cheaper ..
