If you want to clean the coil on it, you need to get a wire brush and gently brush the dust off. be very careful not to bend the metal fins shut. you could ruin the unit if you do so

SOURCE: Emerson Air Conditioner #10HW42K through wall

First off, my model # is Emerson Quiet Kool 10HW42K. No it is not yet solved, however I am reaching out to a number of sources. Was hoping to get a simple answer since it is not a "repair" problem, but rather a "replacement problem". I am looking for another AC that will fit the original sleeve.

SOURCE: Air condition cleaning

hi! there,
if your unit is almost five years from now,its more convenient to have a maintenance schedule every two to three time a year,if this a windows type, cleaning of ac unit mostly the eveporator and condenser should free from dust, upon installing, the a/c unit should be eleveted down on condenser, the tray should have a drain with hose to drip the water outside your room,so that water will not leak on your light, see this may cause electrical fault resulted on burning.have always clean the filter.try to inform the maintenance crew to elevate the condenser portion down gradually so that water will drip outside the room.have anice day, don't forget get to rate me,and thank's a lot.

SOURCE: How to take apart case and back flush heat exchange fins

You do not have to remove the coils. Just carefully lift the top with the motor and set it aside (power off). Spray the outside with a foaming cleaner (Dow bathroom) and flush from inside out.

How do I remove the front cover from a Fujitsu ASTA12LCC air conditioner?

  1. Turn off the air conditioner: Before attempting to remove the front cover, ensure that the air conditioner is switched off to avoid any potential hazards.
  2. Locate the release buttons: Look for the release buttons on the sides of the front cover. They are usually located towards the bottom of the cover.
  3. Press the release buttons: Using your fingers, press the release buttons inward towards the center of the unit. This should release the front cover from the main body of the air conditioner.
  4. Gently remove the cover: Once the release buttons have been pressed, the front cover should come loose. Carefully lift the cover upwards and away from the unit.
  5. Clean or maintain the unit: With the front cover removed, you can clean or maintain the air conditioner as required. Be sure to follow any instructions provided in the user manual or by a professional technician.
Note: The specific steps to remove the front cover from a Fujitsu ASTA12LCC air conditioner may vary depending on the model and unit installation. It is always best to refer to the user manual or consult a professional technician if you are unsure of the process or need additional assistance.

I need a master control knob. I don't know the model number of the Emerson Quiet Kool air conditioner.

Without the Model Number, it's hard to know what knob fits your model. However, the link below, may provide some help. But, having the Model Number would be a bulls eye. Remove the front of the AC unit. There may be a manufacturer's data plate inside, which would provide the model number.

Hello, i have a thru the wall Emmerson Quiet Kool ac that is only 1+ yrs old. I need a tech support. Who in zip code 10805 could I call?

Any HVAC contractor should be able to help you. First thing to check, though, would be the filter on the front. These units pull air in and a filter helps keep the dust out of the cooling coil. After a year or so, the filters can get clogged which stops the air from moving, and so they don't cool very well. If you clean your filter every spring, your unit will work much better, and it's a simple matter to open the front cover and wash it out. Let it dry before you put it back. If it still doesn't cool, then it's time to call the tech.
