Re: forward/back buttons....

Don't know if you got your problem fixed but there are two options to work around this problem.

Set both the forward and back buttons to Generic Buttons.  They'll work fine after that point.

Set the forward button to a Keystroke and then use the Keystroke Shift+Backspace.  For the back button use Backspace.  These are the keyboard commands for navigation in Firefox.

I tried both with my MX600 and both worked.  Good luck

Which version of Firefox are you using? You can find this by clicking on Help, then selecting About.

Where is the refresh button on my keyboard

It's right next to the 'any' key.
Generally when an instruction refers to the 'refresh' button, it is referring to the icon on the screen for your browser - it's usually a little picture in the top right of your screen depicting an arrow bent into a circle. Typically there are three simple browser control buttons together up there: the "back" button, which is an arrow pointing left and which takes you back to the previous page. The 'forward' button, which is an arrow pointing right and which takes you on to the next page after you have used the 'back' button. And the 'refresh' button, which is an arrow shaped in a circle and which tells the computer to go back to the internet and reload the current page.
A common purpose for using the 'refresh' might be when watching an auction item on e-bay. Your screen will not dynamically update, meaning that when others bid on an item, you won't see the activity until you refresh that page.

ACER laptop keyboard skips when typing on Internet email (Hotmail or Yahoo), seems to be fine on Word?

Your browser is lagging behind. You may be low on RAM. This happens often when you have multiple tabs/windows open. Some browsers require more resources than others, I'm not sure how they compare.

It could also be low bandwidth; either you have a poor connection or are downloading a lot (via frostwire or utorrent or something) or uploading.

If you're running 768+ MB of RAM on Windows XP, you're fine. That's unlikely to be the cause.

If you're running 1.5+ GB of RAM on Windows Vista/7, you're fine.

Due to how IRQs are processed, the fact that it works fine in word but not via the internet suggests your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc) is the problem. Try installing the latest version of whatever browser you use. If this doesn't work, try installing an older version. lol.

Logitech LX8 Mouse back button quit working on AOL

This has been a long time problem with Logitech and Aol. If your mouse software allows you to edit your mouse buttons, change the back button to "keystroke" and enter the back arrow key on your keyboard as the command. Alt left arrow also works. While you don't appear to have a forward button, Aol users who do, would change it to "keystroke"...Alt right arrow.

Is it happening only when you are surfing on the internet?

If it happen only when you surf on the net then propably because of add on or tool bars on the browser..

Restart the Internet explorer and check the status...

Model KB_558

You should be able to open the software that came with the keyboard to program the 'hotkeys'.

When it asks you for the shortcut for the particular button, choose 'browse', and navigate to the "c:\program files\mozilla firefox" folder, and choose the exe file.

If you need more assistance, let me know, as all of those multimedia keyboards are different.
