For example, you may be giving it to someone else, or you may find yourself with no other way to resolve a serious issue such as a frozen screen. CAUTION:
Resetting your phone deletes your ringtones, contacts, pictures, messages, and other downloaded content.

1. From the Home screen, press the OK key.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Phone Settings.
4. Select Security.
5. Type your lock code. This is typically the last four digits of your phone number (unless you've changed it).
6. Select Reset Defaults.
7. Press the OK key to confirm.
8. Select Revert.

Your phone is reset to its original factory settings.
If these steps are unsuccessful, visit a Product Care Centre to have your phone inspected. Use our Store Locator to find the closest location.

Alot of the LG phones have had this problem. My Keybo has the same problem and it isn't because you dropped it in water. Take it to the service place. They may need to replace it or tell you otherwise. Good Luck!

YES! I finally fixed this problem for myself, having found no solutions online, from Telus or from the web. Having posted so long ago, you may have already fixed it/got a new phone. If not, or for anyone else experiencing the same problem, here's what to do:

Login to your e-mail using email 2.0 and enter your e-mail inbox itself and use the button under the screen to click the "options" button. Then, click the "down" arrow key five times. It will say "E-mail Alerts". Click this, and select "Disabled"! It might still say that you have e-mail under the e-mail submenu, but it will not force that push message **** on you anymore! Hope this helps!

Go to Messaging> Send Message> Voice SMS> Recent List> Options.. then simply select the contacts you want to delete or delete all. :)

Hiya, my wife has the same phone.. everything works and the way to get your mp3's as a ringtone is what I found easier to do like my LG dare.. which is to edit, compress the mp3 file and send it via text attachment from your vzpix account to your phone, from there you can save the attachment and modify it's use on your phone as a ringtone. Aloha!

What I've seen on those indicator stickers is that they are white and when your phone has water damage, red spots show up on the sticker. maybe that's not for all phones.

well usually the default code is the last 4 digits of your number, but being that you changed it, there isnt much you can do except go back to the store and have them do it.

thats most likely because the charging port has come off of the motherboard. i have read that in this phone this is often the case and neither lg nor telus will do anything about it except tell you that you were using the phone roughly. so you cant do anything about it now unless u want to pay lg about $300 to repair the phone because the warranty wont cover it

Oh tell me about it!. Geat phone, but now mine just displays the telus logo as well, and I know i didn't get mine wet. Taking the battery out is the only way to turn off now. Of course this happened no more then a week after my repair agreement ran out. Had to buy another phone at full price, now the 8100 sits on a shelf with all my contacts on it and no way to get them :-(.
