GE Tritonr XL GSD6260JCC Dishwasher Logo

Water leak have the Ge triton dishwasher (Model # GSD5320D02BB, bought it n 2001) and currently have very small amount of water leaking out of the door during a run cycle. I did check levels when running and that seems to be fine......meaning the dishwasher is level and not an over-flow problem. My next thought is maybe it is a faulty door gasket. So my question is, where is the door gasket located and how do I replace it? (and where do I order this part from?). Looked for diagrams to follow and could not locate any help. Thx.

They are in the bottom left and right of the door opening. GE likes to use L-shaped, molded and ribbed seals on most of their models - hopefully also on yours. Typically these can be removed by hand and easily replaced without taking anything apart. Your local Sears Parts Department has them in stock for about $10 each.

Yes, try unplugging it (or turning off the circuit breaker), wait for 15 to 30 seconds and then try pluggin it back in.

GE Dishwasher Quiet Power III Dishwasher leaking

The average life of dishwashers is 7-10 ten years so it might just be dying but try this. If the leak is a small one that seems to always be near the left side of the dishwasher put a cup of white vinager in the upper rack and run the unit on pots & pans or heavy duty. This is caused by a build up of detergent that make the unit oversuds, when the suds turn back into water it leaks out the left front corner. The amount of water is not huge, one towel to clean up. If the leak is larger it could be the pump is leaking and you can order a new one with your model # from marcone.com

Maytag Jet Clean leaking through right side of door during rinse

It is important to examine the leak to see where it probably originates.

If the water is leaking from the right hand side of the door on your dishwasher, it is time to replace the gasket that seals the door when the door is latched.

Water comes out the bottom of the door. not

With very few exceptions, when a dishwasher leaks as you describe, the door gasket needs to be replaced. You have not posted the manufacturer and model number, so it is hard to help much more. Please post back here with further questions.

Good Luck!

I have a GE Triton Dishwasher Model #GSD5320D02BB, Serial #FA792902B in muy home which drains into a garbage disposal unit. The water doesn't drain out of the dishwasher after a wash cycle is done. I...

Two things, one of which you probably already have done:
(1) if the drain goes first to a vent or siphon breaker before entering teh sewer, make sure the siphon breaker is clear of debris - easy to do, it is usually on top of the sink
(2) there is a check valve in that allows water to circulate during wash but prevents back-flow during draining. It is accessible by removeing the strainers inside the tube (on the floor toward the back, attached by ~6 screws.) Mine eroded severely and need to be replaced - $5 part.

Dishwasher doesn't drain

Greg, if the model number ends in GO1, your dishwasher has a piston nut assy. thats problably giving you the grief. If this assy. goes bad you will have water left in the tub at the end of the wash. A common GE problem. It's located under the filter screen in the back and just unscrews out. Part number is wd24x199. It's an easy fix. Look up the part on the net to get an idea of what it looks like. Catriver..post back.
