There should be a model number printed/stamped onto the battery. Put this number into Google and yuo should have a list of sources. One of the local battery replacement places (like batteries Plus) can match it up or order one for you.
assuming you have checked fuses etc you may have to use it as a lunch hook for your dingy...seriuosly..don't know ow old t is but a replacement is order methinks ...just like laptops they have improved greatly now and features abound screens are bigger and better...price has also dropped?
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but according to the Owners Manual for this unit: http://www.busse-yachtshop.de/pdf/simrad-rd68.pdf (Page 6),
to erase a previously entered MMSI, the radio must be sent to a Simrad authorized dealer. I suppose this feature was put into effect to cut down on stolen Simrad products.
Hope this is helpful, sorry I couldn't do more for you.
Ensure that the external position to be OFF, refer to manual below. See interface display in [MENU],7,2
Try resetting the Chart Plotter to factory settings. Use the Delete Memory and Factory Preset options as described in section 9 of the user manual below:
I have a Garmin 182C and I get interfernce on VHF channels 21,22 and 83 the moment I turn on the Garmin. I have tried changing radios, antennas, placed separate poer and aground lines and nothing helps. Garmin gives me the run around.
Try and turn on the unit at the J300-40 pcb by using a test light one end to gnd and going to the ap35 interconnect and touch the test light to each pin or until you hear the unit start up.
