Flooding carb as soon as i start the 4wheeler i see gas pouring out the over flow off the carb, i can shut gas off and it will continue to run until gas is depleted. it just sputters and stalls out with gas on because of the flooding status. my guess is the float may be sticking but i took apart the carb and cleaned it looks like the float is working properly...

SOURCE: Had trouble get bike to run after sitting for 2

the float may need to have an adjustment or be checked for parts in the right way.(fuel not being regulated by the float, is caused by worn or damaged needle,or still got trash) once you get this solved the grinding will not be so bed(you will have more safe control of rpms)

SOURCE: I have a 1991 honda cr 250 I cant get to start at

try a new spark plug. if u fowl out a plug some time they will not fire under compression.2 strokes need. fuel, fire and air, very simple engines.it is possible crank seal are bad .that doesn't allow the engine to create vacuum in the crank case.thus fuel and air will not make it to combustion chamber.

Carburetor leaks after engine is shut off

Your carbs bowl float is sticking allowing the gas to continue to flow when the engine is not running. And if you say it is ruining into the engine..check the oil for the presence of gas..if so change the oil,oil filter and remove the plugs and cover the tips to stop spark..turn the engine over to blow gas from the cylinders using a rag to catch the fluid...now to the fix..either take the carb apart and clean all the parts but there is no way to know if this will happen again..this has happened to my Husky. The best and easy fix is to install a inline fuel shutoff valve..where you can get at it easily...Just shut it off and let the engine use up the carb fuel..and when you start it again turn on the shut off valve let it set until the carb gets full about ten seconds..then start the engine...just got to rmember to do this every time you shut it down...works well for me...good luck.

John deere lt155 lawn tractor shuts off when it gets hot while mowing, could this be electrical?

I had a similar problem lasy year.
Try this:
As soon as the machine seems to be stalling, loosen the gas cap.
If the engine continues to run, clean the gas cap vent hole(s).

While trying to start gas pourred out of the exhaust

The needle valve in the carb evidently is not seating and allowing way too much fuel to continually enter into the fuel system. Remove the carbs float bowl to check for this. Float pushed up...should be no gas flow...float hanging down..gas should flow. The needle valve is probably either sticking open or debris in the seating area is not allowing it to seat (which shuts off the gas flow).

My carb just lets the gas pour straight through

you wil need to strip the carb down as the flote is stuck down and its not shutting off the flow of fule when its at the right level for the bike to run on ,,,you may need to replace the neadel velve as its flooding the carb

I've got a 2005 650 that is pouring gas out of a tube under the carb. It only pours when its started and running. Won't idle

Your carb has a hung float or needle and seat issues.

You have to take the carb off the bike and consider replacing the float and/or needle and seat.

You might get by just raising the float level. But this is only a stopgap maneuver. Buy a new float!

You bike is flooding so it wont run right until this is fixed.

The reason its only flooding while its running is because your bike has an automatic gas tank valve that opens when the bike starts and makes vacuum that opens the valve. It is saving you from the bike totally filling up with fuel!

Riding lawn mower keeps flooding

It sounds like the inlet needle seat is not closing all the way, allowing fuel to overfill the carburetor. The inlet needle seat may have dirt in it.You will have to remove the carburetor bowl and check for dirt or debris in bowl,if so remove the float assembly and check for a peice of dirt between the inlet needle and seat.If there is none you may have to replace the carburetor or rebuild it with a carburetor kit.You should also chang the engine oil because the overfilled carburetor drains to the crankcase, filling it with fuel, check the oil level and see if it is high, that would indicate fuel is in the oil.Hope this helps

17hp b/s intek OHV after 30 min mowing starts running rough

if gas is in the oil the needle and seat in the carb are bad or some thing in it. the gas will go in to the crank case and load the cylinder with gas. you can take the carb apart to see if something is in the seat. or replace the carb
