Question about Makita HR3000C Electric Rotary Hammer
Was using my father in laws makito . when using it i had a sudden loss of power and a smell of burning . Any ideas on what the problem is
Burnt out field windings or failed armature segments would be a good assumption here. Over heating from prolonged heavy load use or worn brushes causing the bars on the armature to burn and burn the wires.. Have an appliance electrician look at it but generally a replacement unit will be required.
