I have just installed a meridian 8x24 system with only 4 external lines on lines 1 to 4 external line pick up and calling works fine but i cant see incoming calls thanks teve 07825983513 +441977649096

that is not a user option it must be programed by a tech. it is a feature called idel line prefrence the other way iy can be accomplished is by using a hunt group but you will still need it to programed by a tech, you can contact me by email @ [email protected]

External autodial
1. If you are on a call or an open line with dial tone, press Hold
or Rls
2. Press Feature * 1
3. Press a memory button.
4. Dial the external number.
5. Press Hold to store the number.
6. Label your new button.
Internal autodial
1. If you are on a call or an open line with dial tone, press Hold
or Rls
2. Press Feature * 2
3. Press a memory button.
4. Dial the internal number.
5. Label your new button.

Erasing memory buttons
1. If you are on a call or an open line with dial tone, press Hold

3. Press the memory button you want to erase.

Disconnect power and cables from all phones and faxes on the line 3. Wait 15 minutes and reconnect the line again, one
at a time. See if the Meridian works. If not, it could be faulty.
Nortel M7000 series are proprietary sets which require a nortel MICS, CICS, or an older 8x24, 6x16, or 3x08 in order to work. If you have the system, it maybe that the jack isn't activated with a system port.
Do Feature **CONFIG, go to CONFIGURATION, select the second option, should say Line something, keep scrolling and it will say I/C: #,. press change, you can have a max of 2 Intercom keys, if you need other info, go to youtube.com and search for "thenortelguy"
You have to remove line 4 from appearing on all of your phones.
Login to your system with Feature ** config.
Go to extensions find lines configuration, and set Line004 not in service on EACH extension.
Do you have any programming experience on your system ? Is seems like the line has to be asigned to the phone it is ringing on but you will have to do that in system programming.
