A light that says OD in a car means that Overdrive is On or Off. If the light is flashing it could mean there is something wrong with your transmission. You should take your vehicle to the nearest mechanic to get it looked at.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Probably the delay switch is not working, if you have any, or the switch is bad

SOURCE: The ABS,Brake Light,Battery light go on and off sporadically while driving.Does this indicate an Alternator failure or a sensor/computer problem?

yes it's most likely a alternator problem, usually the internal diode bridge breaks causing all lights you mentioned to come on,if this happens at a idle open the hood and remove green connector on alt.if lights go out you've found the problem

SOURCE: battery warning light coming on after a mile , but

Check your alternator as it sounds like it may be starting to go. The battery light trips when it detects an issue with the charging system. Very rarely, the battery light can trip if there's an issue with the PCM, but this is very rare.

Take a voltmeter with the car off and measure the voltage on the leads of the batter, should be around 12V+-.2. With the car running, measure again and this time it should read 13V-14V. If it does read 13V-14V then it means that the alternator is working. If it is below 12V, then it means your alternator is not charging the battery properly. If it's above 14V, then it means your alternator is overcharging and damaging the battery.

SOURCE: Day time running light problem

The problem with the DRL issue describd in the above posts is the DRl module(it needs to be replaced). The buzzing relay and intermittent on/off of passenger side DRl are indicators that the module needs to be replaced.

Indicators not working

That is a common problem when one of the turn signals bulbs is out. check the light bulbs on the side that is not working or the side that the dashboard flashes quicker. replace the light bulb front or rear. take a good look at the light bulb filament inside. some times is not easy to detect some other time the light bulbs will be light black powder inside if they are bad. if the light bulb does not fix it also check for the fuses may always be fuse as well.

Low coolant light came on 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette, went out a couple minutes later without adding any coolant. Adding a little anyway after light went out. Now about 1 1/2 weeks later light came on...

If its not low on coolant and the light continues to come on it is the low coolant sensor in the radiator. This sensor is in the plastic side of the radiator and just pops off. These sensors are always a problem and don't always require replacement of the sensor. What happens -especially if you are using red DEX-COOL coolant is that the coolant gets hard and crusty inside the sensor and wont allow the coolant to enter and make contact with the sensor. Simply take the sensor off and blow compressed air or water pressure in it to free it of debris. Easy fix-hope this helps!

My inside light, radio, and keyfarb are not working.. I do not have owner's manual. Where is fuse for that circuit located?

Open the drivers door and pop that end cap off the dash to reveal a fuse box. If they're labelled, its called the i.o.d. fuse. Otherwise, you'll need to get a test light, hook the clamp to the negative battery terminal, and start checking your fuses. Do this by touching the probe to the little metal tabs sticking up through the plastic in the fuses. Check both tabs in each fuse, one fuse at a time. Both sides should make the test light light up. If only one side lights the light, the fuse is blown. If neither side lights the light, that circuit is not energized. The circuit you are looking for should always be hot. I believe, but am not sure, the iod fuse is raised up above the others just a bit.

1999 m3 light indicator light--what does it mean

does the one look something like this? IIIOIII or (((O)))

this is the brake wear indicator saying that you need brake pads somewhere on the car (front or rear).

the other sounds like you either have the traction control (its a button with either DSC or ASC written on it) turned off or its showing you that it is off because you need need brake pads.
