The wet end of pumps come off this way.

  • Remove the face plate of the pump.
  • Put a large flat-head screw driver on the back of the motor on the shaft going thru the motor.
  • Grasp the impeller (with the screw driver in place on the back of the motor) and unthread the impeller counter clockwise.
  • If it doesn't unthread you will need to bust it off
  • On the back of the motor you will find 4 small bolts 1/4" size that run all the way through the motor and thread into the four fingers of the wet end.
  • Unthread those 4 bolts and you can then remove the volute from the motor.

I just got a 2hp Waterway 48 hiflo pump. The discharge is facing up can it be rotated to the side or is it fixed?

There a four bolts that run through the motor into the wet end, or pump. Use a 1/4" nut driver and loosen the bolts until they are free of the wet end, then you can rotate the wet end so the discharge is face to the side. Tighten the bolts and your done.

I have a Waterly Executive Pump PF-40-2N22C\r\nI

Waterway did change the wet ends slightly (the difference is only minute and you wouldn't realise without meausring) and if yours is the older version you may need to change the entire wet end.

I'd advise you to take the pump to someone who can advise you and perhaps consider changing the entire wet end so that you have a new mechanical seal too.

If you're in the UK I can possibly help but I suspect that you're in the US...

REASSEMBLED WET END OF WATERWAY PF401A22C-LEAKS- NEED DIAGRAM

I've never seen a reassembly diagram for this particular pump but I'm guessing that you've installed the mechanical seal incorrectly.

Where is it leaking from exactly?

Kind Regards,
Ian Kime.
