Ms word attachments don't open from ms outlook in windows 8

I recently purchased new laptop using windows 8. I have ms office 2007 and word and excel files won't launch from within outlook. The word or excel program will load but the file itself does not appear.

May be the reason of corruption in attach word document file. I would recommend you to try the third party RecoveryFix for Word recovery software which is equipped with sophisticated algorithms that further ensure fast repairing of corrupt doc/docx files. It also supports recovery of UNICODE characters

SOURCE: MS Office 2007 Outlook - open new email - super large font

Couple of suggestions:

1) try holding the ctrl key and rolling the mouse wheel down.
2) open the message in it's own window, click Other Actions, select zoom from the menu, choose desired zoom level and click ok
3) If using a previous version of MS word, change outlook from using word as your email editor to outlook as the email editor (TOOLS | OPTIONS | MAIL FORMAT tab)

SOURCE: Windows Installer comes up every time

Its a corrupt file and its common to office xp too.

Usually you would stick your installation disk in and let it auto-start. when it offers to install you would click yes

it should then say you already have it do you want to repair

say yes and let it do its stuff.

do not do any office updates just yet but verify that office does indeed work properly again

if so then you should make sure your office is fully updated

I CANT WORK AT MY MS WORD BECAUSE THE 2007 MICROSOFT OFFICE SYSTEM WANTS TO ENTER THE PRUDOCT KEY. HOWEVER, IM TRYING TO ENTER THE 25 COMBINATION OF LETTERS AND NUMBERS INDICATED IN STICKER OF MY LAPTOP,...

The sticker on your laptop case is the product key for the copy of Windows installed, not for Microsoft Office. That key won't work on Office since it's for a different product.

Many computers come preloaded with a version of Office that lets you use it for a limited time, but then you need to purchase a key to activate it if you want to keep it. If you don't want to spend money on the Office product, download and install OpenOffice instead.

OpenOffice is a completely free alternative to Microsoft's Office suite. It has all the same tools (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, etc.) as Office. It can also work with a number of different file formats including Office types like docx. Files created with OO can be opened by users of MS Office since they are compatible.

If you absolutely need MS Office (because of some particular feature, for example), you'll need to follow the links in the program to purchase a key from Microsoft. Otherwise, switch to OpenOffice and save the money.

Outlook will not activate

It is because MS outlook is not a part of the ms office home and student 2007 package. That's the reason why your outlook is saying trial and its not working.

Cant open attachments

That's not a problem with Vista, rather it's most likely a problem with the web server. Make sure you entered all your web server information in correctly (pop3, SMPT, etc), and make sure your mail server supports MS Outlook 2007. Just double check everything. If that doesn't work, try completely un-installing and re-installing Outlook 2007. If all fails, try downloading a 3rd party mail application and see if that works.
