Hi, Anonymous for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs -fluid capacities and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can not find the best tool you ever bought for your Honda, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

SOURCE: replace handle bars on a 2006 HarleyDavidson RoadKing

I added a 2 inch riser to my dyna and didnt have to replace any cables, so - to answer your question, not always. There is plenty of wiggle room, however, if there is gonna be more difference that about 2 inches, replacement will be required. ADJUSTMENT WILL DEFINITELY be needed. And no, its not difficult, when u have the bars off, its nearly 1/2 done anyway

SOURCE: How do you replace the brake lever on a Harley

There is a snap ring on the bottom of the post that holds the lever in. Use snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring, remove post disconnect the lever from the cable.

SOURCE: How to adjust front brake lever on '06 hd road king?

This is by design. When you have new pads on the bike and a rotor within limits the lever has very limited travel before engaging.
As these parts wear the position of which the lever engages changes. Unless you know that at the last brake pad change the caliper was "centered" this could account for the travel and will result in premature wear on the components.

SOURCE: my brake lever gets stuck and brake light does

spray lithium grease on switch button and make sure housing for throttle and switches are as tight to brake handle clamp as possible. Also if there is the mechanical lever in brake clamp the "paddle" may need to be bent a little

2004 Harley Davidson FXSTD - FXSTDI Softail Deuce rear brake caliper nipple leaks @

Hi, Anonymous no matter how many times you try to bleed a brake system you can end up with a spongy lever/pedal because there is always a handful of air bubbles that absolutely refuse to be evicted from an airline, depending on the angle of the dangle, using conventional purging methods. You have 2 options:
1. Back bleed hook up a vacuum pump at the caliper and suck out the trapped air bubbles.
2. Pressure bleed requires special equipment that most reputable shops will have and is guaranteed to get all air out.
