SOURCE: Bike ran great all day.

You didn't say what year or model bike you're working on. The clicking you're hearing could be a circuit breaker tripping. If it's a soft click like a turn signal flasher clicking, this is probably a circuit breaker or a relay. If it's a loud click, it may be the solenoid on your starter. Does anything else on the bike work? If not, it's probably the main circuit breaker. How about any security system that may be on the bike?

Good Luck

SOURCE: i've been having trouble starting my 2008 FLHRC recently...battery has plenty of power but when I go to start the bike...once I press the ignition switch...my alarm starts to flash...there's no clicki

Sounds like you have an anti-theft system interfering with your ignition. I don't have experience with that model bike or any manuals on that bike so that is the most help I can give.

Have an 07 gmc Sierra classic with the truck and padlock alarm on steady how to reset security system

The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

Perform the re-learning procedure
  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
  3. Observe the SECURITY light, after approximately 10 minutes the light will turn OFF.
  4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 10 seconds.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes ( the vehicle
  6. is now ready to relearn the Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK).
Important: The vehicle relearns Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the Sensor Data Code and/or password).

Why do lights flash while on trailer on 2014 street glide

The bike senses movement (like someone is stealing it) and activates the "Smart Security System".
You won't have an actual alarm unless you have the optional alarm installed.

You need to put it in "Transport Mode"

In the transport mode, the Harley-Davidson Smart Security System is armed but the motion detectors are inactive.
The motorcycle can be transported on a trailer without activating the alarm while the starter and ignition remain disabled.

Here's a video how:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA35I8RWI_s

And written instructions:

With an assigned fob within range, turn the ignition switch to IGNITION.
Before the security system lamp goes out, turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Within three seconds, simultaneously press both the left and the right turn signal switches.
After the turn signals flash once, the system enters the transport mode.
With the fob removed, the motorcycle can be moved without setting off the alarm.

I HAVE A 2007 HARLEY DAVIDSON CLASSIC SOFTTAIL. SECURITY SYSTEM PROBLEM. I HAVE REPLACED BATTERY & KEY FOB STILL COMPUTER WILL NOT ALLOW ME ENTRY TO DISARM & WILL NOT CRANK. DID STEP BY STEP OWNER...

If you do not know the security code, you can reset it to your own choosing.
With the fob present, turn IGN switch:
IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION
Press LEFT turn signal switch 3 TIMES
Press RIGHT turn signal switch 1 TIME and release
Turn signals will flash 3 times. Current PIN will appear in odometer. The first digit will be flashing.

If changing PIN, enter first digit (a) of new PIN by pressing LEFT signal switch (a) time(s) i.e., for the number 1, press one time. for the number 5, press 5 times.

Press RIGHT signal switch 1 TIME and release.
the new digit (a) will replace the current in odometer window.

Enter second digit (b) with LEFT signal switch.

Repeat until PIN is set.

Once PIN is set (either new or old PIN), to disarm security system, DO NOT sit on seat, lift bike off kick stand, or anything else that will activate the security mode!

Turn IGN to IGNITION.

Quickly (within 2 seconds) hold BOTH turn signal switches until confirmation signal (KEY icon flashes at fast rate, in odometer window, a flashing "-" will be followed by 4 more dashes = "----")

Enter 1st digit (a) in PIN by pressing LEFT turn signal switch (a) times (i.e., 5 times for the number 5)
The 1st "-" will become the 1st digit (i.e., "5")

Press RIGHT switch signal 1 TIME.
The 1st digit is stored and the dash will flash.

Enter 2nd digit (b), and repeat sequence until done.

After the 5th digit is entered, the KEY icon stops blinking, and the system is disarmed.

The system will stay off until the IGN switch is turned off.

If at any time during disarming sequence an error is made, wait 2 minutes before trying again.

I have 2004 chev tahoe w/ a viper remote starter system, but no key fob. I replaced the car battery & now the cars computer won't let it start. How do I reset the computer?

The car's computer wont let it start?
Well, if you changed the battery and the viper alarm is the issue; locate the push button valet/programming switch. Turn the ignition on, press and release the switch. The alarm will disarm and you can start the vehicle.
To put the alarm in valet, turn the ignition on then off, within 10 seconds press and release the valet switch. The LED will illuminate solid to show that the system is in valet.

My security system won't disarm on my 1999 chevy blazer

Is this an aftermarket alarm? If so, first locate the valet switch. It should be a black push button. Next, turn the ignition on, press and release the valet switch. This should disarm you aftermarket alarm. This is the most common manual disarm procedure for Directed (avital, python, Automate, Viper) and Audiovox (prestige, pursuit, code).

If this is the factory alarm and, you don't have the remote. Unlock the vehicle using your key in the driver's door.
