I replaced the brake pedal on my 2002 Kawasaki Mean Streak, and now my brake lights don't work from the foot pedal or the hand brake

I know there's a switch that connects to the foot brake. Have I put it back together wrong?

I just realized I also have no headlights. When I turn the key to "on" there are no lights at all. When I turn the key to "park" the tail lights come on. Does the bike have to be running for the headlights to work? Still no brake lights either

SOURCE: Suzuki VL intruder 125 back brake sticking and braklight stuck on

i too had this problem .....dnt worry just remove the brake cable and lubricate it with some spray like ABRO or WD40 lubricating spray then you sprayed some in the cable.play with it pull it forward and push it backward.,lubricate and repeat the steps till you find the cable goes smoother...you know it usually happens due to dust and dirt which enters the cable n get it stuck, try this n tell me..

SOURCE: just replaced clutch spring on '01 vulcan 1500

assuming it was reinstalled properly....try the following. while bleeding the system, squeeze the clutch lever several times to pump up the system as normal; open the bleed screw while holding the clutch lever in and air or fluid comes out. instead of closing the bleed screw hold your finger over the bleed screw and pump up the clutch lever in the normal fashon and bleed by releasing your finger to let the air escape try this several times to see if your clutch comes back. I don't know why but this technique works sometimes...Mike...Make sure you always have plenty of fluid in the resivoir at all times

Hi Des, Im am Irish too, howya doin? The oil you want is SAE 10W-20. and 445ml if you are changing the oil. It can be more accurately checked with the fork removed and fully compressed and the spring removed, the oil will be 120mm from the top ot the stanchion.
The manual will give you more info on this and any other future problems so here is a link to it. Good luck to ya, and please rate me if I've helped you. Thanks

2003 chrysler concorde ,

Most vehicles have a brake sensor on the top of the brake pedal and it may be out of adjustment. It's very simple to adjust. Try checking that out. If it's out of adjustment it doesn't know you're foot is on the brake until you push the pedal very hard. But don't adjust it too far the other way or you're brake lights won't work right.

K I have a 2003 yamaha wr 250f i have noiced I tend toride with my rear brake on I don't mean to but how do I lower the rear brake lever down becuzi noticed it actually set up higher than the foot peg...

There is some form of adjustment between the foot lever and the mastercylinder. Just undo the locknuts and turn the adjusting rod and watch for the foot lever to lower, if it raises, turn the adjusting rod in the other direction. Don't forget to do the locknuts up when finished. NOTE: one nut is left hand thread and the other in right hand thread. most of the bikes I have ridden have the pedal above the footrest, but that is a personal preference.

Hi: I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4.3 The brake lights and turn signals don't work.... HELP

Sounds like you have a bad multiple function turn signal switch. A couple things to try With your foot pressing on the brake pedal, Press the four way flasher button up and down, press and hold it down, pull up on it, or wiggle it. If the brake lights come on during any one of those replace the switch. With the key in the run position pull, push, the turn signal lever slightly. If the turn signal or brake lights start to work replace the switch. Let me know if none of those work, they usually do, and I'll get you some more in depth diagnostic info.
