Hi there you can not use it as web camera.BUt if you buy a videocard then you can. But its costly than a webcam. You will get 3 - 4 webcam on same cost of video converter card. I suggest you buy an iBall webcam its good & also a pixel cam. Nice clearity & with microphone. You can take a snap from than webcam also. It will cost arround 12$ - 15$. Thanks.

I have the identical camera. A camera lens error may occur for the following reasons;
a.) check your battery. Use the recharger wall set to charge the battery and then try your camera.
b.) lint, dust or greasy materials like skin oils and lotions may be clogging the mechanism allowing the lens to move. Clean it carefully with a cotton cloth and a TINY bit of isopropyl alcohol. Don't use a cotton swab because fibers from them are nearly as bad as the dust or lint.
c.) the camera may have been dropped and the mechanism actually broken. I cannot help you there.
