Need a remote code for a Magnavox MWC13D6 TV conected to Dish network 311 receiver and a EchoStar 3.1 IR remote

i would suggest trying power scan again...

1)hold down tv button next to sat button in top left corner
2) when all buttons illuminate press 500 into remote
3)press pound sign
4)Hello, please help..
5)hold town tv button again.
6)when all buttons illuminate press big red power button
7)press up arrow once a second until tv shuts off
8)press # pound sign
9)try to turn tv back on w/ big red power button
10)if tv doesnt turn back on try again from step 2 but use down arrow instead

if this doesnt work try addressing your old remote to the receiver by pressing record from system info screen

Follow this link and got to the remote section. Once there shoose the type of remote you have and select remote codes to get the ones for that particular remote that may operate the piece of equipment desired. Not all TVs are supported by our remotes. You can do a power scan to see if you can find one that works or you can get the newest remote type that supports a large array of TVs. The new rmote is a model 21 which will work in IR and UHF mode. To perform a power scan do the following: Press and hold the upper left TV button on the remote until all lights on top light up and release.Now press the small red TV button and release - the upper tv button should be lit solid. Now press the arrow up key slowly until set turns off. Once it does presss the arrow down key once and then the arrow up key and the TV should power on. Now press the pound sign and the rrecord button. Now press the upper SAT button and release . You should be able to control the set now. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Hello, this is Nick Franta with DISH.

If you are trying to get the remote programmed to the receiver you can remove the smartcard from the receiver and that will prompt the system info screen. This will allow you to program the remote to the receiver.

If you need the process for programming the remote, here it is:

1. Go to System Info screen (in this case -- obtain by removing smartcard from receiver)
2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4. Press the pound (#) button
5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
