The controller is not getting the correct feedback signal from the SMPS (switched-mode power supply AKA inverter).

It may be a problem with the inverter, magnetron, magnetron thermostat, controller, or thew wiring that connects them.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside
the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille,
which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

You can see a YouTube video
here that shows you how to remove the
controller assembly from a typical over the range microwave in less than 5
minutes.

You can find see the parts list with helpful exploded
views and download manuals for it here:

NOTE: You must change the XXX in the URL above to your
exact model number with suffix (but no dashes) as shown on the tag in the
cooking cavity or on of the oven. Then copy & paste it into your browser\'s address box.

I have a Kenmore Elite Speedcook Microwave oven, model #665.63783600. What does error code F7 mean on this model?

F7 Error Code On Microwave Ovens With Inverter Board

An F7 error code could be an inverter board failure. Anything else that prevents microwave energy may also cause an F7 error, and must be checked. The technician should perform the following procedure to test for an F7 error code:

1. Check the magnetron.
2. Check the magnetron TCO (it should be closed).
3. Check the 3 interlock switches.
4. Check the harness wiring.
5. Check the electronic controls.
6. Check the inverter board.

For more free help, feel free to contact me via my site with your detailed symptoms and full model number and FCC ID number as shown on the tag in or on the oven.

I have a Whirlpool Velos Microwave/convection over the range microwave. It is 2.5 years old. Tonight, after putting the fan on the unit is now indicating an Error message "F2H1-Hood Keys Stuck- the...

Sounds like the pads that you push on the touch panel are stuck, will probably have to replace the whole touch panel. On units installed over the oven, they typically plug into an outlet in the cabinet above the microwave. if not, try flipping your circuit breakers until you find the one that shuts off the Microwave.

Error Code

F7 problems are usually caused by poor connections. I suggest to unplug the ribbon connector off the control board and cleaned the copper connectors using alcohol or with a pencil eraser. If that does not work the touch pad may be defective.
