The other solution is to put another hard drive in your computer.

Right click in your drive select new folder
Place all data files you want to password protect inside your new folder
Right click on your new folder select properties select the sharing tab
Scroll to network and sharing at the bottom
You have many options to password protect many files and folders Windows 7
In XP right click on your folder select properties then click the sharing tab tick the box do you want to make this folder private
A message might appear if you have a password do you want to create a password
Or you might download one or more of these all are free password protection programs
