1. Using the factory preset code, "1 2 3 4 5 6" followed by # key, unlock the safe and open the door. 2. Locate and press the small red reset button (see illustration) on the back of the door and the keypad will beep twice and the green LED will light up.
Honeywell no longer sells the battery back up! I made my own by putting 4 AA Batteries in a series, found a USB cable that matches the plug on the safe door and cut the USB end off the wire. Strip the two wires Red and Black and put the red on the positive side and black on negative side plug it into the safe and put the combo in then turn the handle and open the safe. You can make a battery by going to an electronic store and tell them what you are looking for or if you have a toy at home that has 4 AA batteries you can wire it into that Temporarily open your safe and give the toy back to your kids. LOL
The only way to find this out is to try it. Universal remotes have codes that can be programmed in based on the make of the TV. try each of the Honeywell codes one at a time and try the remote. Hopefully one of them will work. There's no other way to determine this.
Hi I have the key and know the code , I want to change the code on my Honeywell 2087D I have lost the book what's the trick? I have no red reset button. Please HELP!!!! Sharon
