Status of wireless is connected but cannot browse

A router was configured in my friend's laptop and it is working properly. His brother has a laptop also and the router signal can be received by that laptop but the problem is when the browser is opened, error results just like when a connection is not available. I cheched everything including the TCP/IP address and the settings are all automatic. What's the matter?

Check with this tip
Let me know if everything is clear and if you can put every setting matching on both sides: Access Point (= router, AP) and Client (PC).
Radio connection IS different from browsing Net.
Can PC browse internet when connected with LAN cable to same router?
Are both on same subnet?
Have you checked if an access list is installed in router firewall?
Is the Client blocked /allowed in Firewall?
Can you ping router from Client?
Did you see the router as default gateway in Client IPCONFIG?
Is Router IP address in HOST client file?
Any antivirus, firewall (like Zonealarm) software blocking some new LAN connection and requiring to unblock?

Did not connect to internet

Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL..
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. (SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access). Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

How to connect hp pavilion to brother mfc9560cdw without router

This model Bother printer has a 10baseT LAN connection and can be connected to your LAN network and to your HP laptop via the wireless router. Connect a LAN cable from the printer to the wireless router.
To print from your HP laptop, check the IP address range your wireless router issues to your wireless network, it maybe 192.168.1.*** then configure the brother printer with a fixed IP address with the same IP address range but higher address eg. 192.168.1.10 so it does not clash with any other IP addresses.
Next install the Brother printer driver normally.
Then configure the Brother printer Properties.
Click Start - Printers and faxes - right click on the Brother printer - click Properties - Port tab - click Add Port - Standard TCP/IP port -
Port Name eg. 192.168.1.10
Printer name eg Brother
Click OK
Then do a TEST print if it does not work then the IP address is probably incorrect.

I can't connect the wireless network even it shows that the wireless connection status shows as follows: connection status: connected network duration: going on signal strength: excellent However, the...

Your router's wireless encryption setting (WEP) has been changed.
Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

Cannot make a wireless connection between a sagem router and a ralink wireless mini card 802.11g

  1. Make sure that your wireless mini card is properly installed into your computer. You can check the status of your wireless adapter by going to Control Panel>System>Device Manager. Then go to Network adapters and look for ralink wireless mini card. Right click on it and click properties then look for device status. It should state there, Device is working properly. Otherwise, there is a problem in the installation of the adapter.
  2. Then, verify the wireless settings that are enabled in your router by accessing your router's setup page.
  3. Take note of the SSID or wireless network name and the security enabled in your router.
  4. Configure your computer that has the wireless adapter with the same wireless settings in your router.
Hope this helps!
