depending on how long you have had it . it may be the battery try having it replaced

Hello, for media transfers onto the MP705 you can use either Coby Media Manager software or Windows Media Player 11.
(For fitting video, use the Video Converter software on a computer first.)

0. Install and update software for transfers on the computer.
1. Open the software program and connect the USB cable between the
player and the computer, to get the device detected in the software.
2. Create a playlist in the software.
3. Synchronize the playlist.

You can go to the Coby support site for a download of Coby Media Manager.
The manager is called Coby Media Manager fix for MP822 and is also suitable for the model MP705. See next list for all supported players.


Go to the download page of Coby Media Manager fix for MP822:

Download the Windows or Mac supporting version that matches your Operating System on your computer. Follow up the instructions.
After installation run Coby Media Manager.
In the page top select:
Tools > Device Manager... >
In Devices List select MP-705
click in the middle Add
click right below OK to setup your Favorite Device

When you use the Coby Media Manager software, go for the "Coby Media Manager fix for the MP822".
Once installed you can select the MP705 as your device for transfers.

Enter this model "MP705" in the support page, in the top right where it says "Product Search".

Make sure you have plugged your Coby MP3 player into a USB 2.0 port. The Coby does not support the USB 1.0 standard. If you are getting an error that "This device can perform faster..." your port is an older USB type. I have both types on my computer and the Coby would not install until I plugged it into my 2.0 port.

this version is compatible with all music type of formats not video. it supports mp3 ,wma files. The review does not mention anything about video formats for capability for this model shown

you know the hold button on mp3 player? while connected to the computer, move it to the left until it says hold and it stays there... or if its already on hold move it to the right until its stuck on start symbol

or move it to the right and left vs left or right..

it worked after i played with it for a while...
now if you wait 30 seconds it may or may not reappear :o
