Make sure you have fresh batteries in it. the little red button under the battery cover is the sync button. Push it and you should see the 4 blue lights flash on the remote. Push the sync button on the Wii (red button under the front flap) and wait a few seconds. The remote light should stop flashing and one of the lights should light, indicating which remote it is (1-4) Repeat as necessary or change the order of button pushing if it doesn't work the second time.
To setup your Wii Controllers. Open the back of your Wiimote and insert the two AA batteries as indicated in the battery panel. Leave the cover off after you've inserted the batteries.
Turn on your Wii from the front of the console. Allow the Wii to cycle to the main menu.
Open the front door on the front of the console to reveal the SD card input and the "Sync" button.
Press the "Sync" button on your Wiimote, located just underneath the batteries. When it is in Sync mode the LED light will flash.
Press the "Sync" button on your Wii console to connect the signals and allow the controller and console to sync. This may take a few seconds, so be patient while it continues to connect.
Watch to see if the LED has stopped blinking. Once it has, your Wiimote is now connected to your Wii. Put the battery cover back on.
Use One-Time Synchronization to change the way the Wiimotes are synced to the console. You can do this by pressing the "Home" button on your controller and choosing "Reconnect." This is useful when you wish to change the player/controller layout without passing different Wiimotes around and losing track of which is which. One-time mode is reset to Standard once the Wii is restarted.
Hi. To edit your player you go to the main menu and then settings.then
you go on to team management and pick a player by pressing (a). Then
keep the button (c) pressed for 5 seconds and a editing chart will come
up and you can make everything 99.
must sync the drums. To do this first take off Battery cover of drums.(leave batteries in) Then press the tiny red button on the front
of the wii console next to the sd card slot for 2 seconds. In the battery compartment of the drums, there is a tiny red
button that looks like the one one the wii. Press it and they should
sync. Now your remote should work.
take the battery cover off the wii controller and press the red button. then open the cover at the front of the wii and press the red button. do this when you are at the wii menu. this registeres the remote
Had a very similar problem recently. I bought a new controller and that solved the problem. 2 of my controllers have ended up useless playing fifa, although pointing at the wii menu is now problem. Its a strange one but the new wiimote works perfect
I had the same problem and called Nintendo support. They had us unplug the wii console for 30 seconds, plug it back in and start the system back up. BEFORE pressing the A button on the health and safety screen, we needed to take the battery cover off of one remote, press the red sync button, then quickly press the sync button on the front of the wii console (in the front - you have to open the flap). Once the single blue light was on at the bottom of the remote, do the same with the other remote (press the sync button on it and then on the wii console). Then the second blue light should be lit on the second remote. Hope that helps!
