Doesnt recognise that you have stepped off the board

When we start up the wii fit it just keeps saying please step off me and press A . but noone is on it. we have tried powering it all off and on again but still the same. Done the wii balance board check and that says it is functioning properly! It is less than 3 weeks old and I still have the receipt but wnder if anyone else has had this problem

I have tried new batteries, unplugging the whole system, simple resets, re-syncing everything I can think of and my Wii Fit is doing the same thing. As sson as you get to the step on setup before an event it say please step off me and press A but nobody is on it. Very frustrated I had people come over to play with my wife and I and the 3 week old piece of equipment would not work.

When you power on the wii fit board, does the light flash continuously? If so, you will need to sync your board with your wii again. You can get instructions on how to do so here: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/balanceBoard.jsp

Wii fit board keeps saying get off and press A to initialize game but no one on the board. Have tried new wii fit disk but same. Other ski game works with the board

You get off press a wait for it to say step on and then get on. If it keeps saying it after you get off, take out the batteries and get a new battery pack, don't step on it at all until it loads.

Wii board keeps telling me to press A

My wii fit balance board says to step off and press A

You need to load it, stand on the board, step off, and then press A. I have a WiiFit and that happens. It expects you to be standing on it.

"Step Off Me and Press A" message while not on wii board

When you get this message, lift the board off the ground, press A, and wait until you get to the confirmation screen before placing the board back on the ground. You may have to try a few times to get the timing right. I have no idea why it thinks someone is on the board, but this workaround has solved the problem for us. Good luck.
