SOURCE: how do you remove a cd in the gateway one GZ7108
- open the cover
- remove ventilation shroud
you'll see that some electronics od CD/DVD drive are exposed (right side of PC, face of the drive where the CD is inserted)
You can easily locate an LED, if not turn on the pc and you'll see that blink. Right next to it there is a little bump. Try pressing that with something non-metallic, blunt. It should feel like pressing a button, in fact it is a hidden button.
While the pc is on press that once and wait for the disk to eject.
SOURCE: How can I get the picture back on my daughters Gateway One GZ7108 All in One Desktop?
Make sure that display is working and that it is hooked up to the correct graphics card
SOURCE: Gateway On GZ7108 has no video on monitor..can here windows loading no picture
There are more than one scenarios for thi s..The first one .it may be a damaged video card ..but usually when teh video card is damaged you can not see anything at all ..not even teh devices being loaded..and in your case ..if you see anything on it when it starts it is not the card but just the display settings ..
second ..may be the display settings ...like I said ...and in this case you check if the main display was not disabled..by pressing the Fn key and the F key suggested for monitor ..(to be sure it is something like that use a external monitor and see if you have image ..)
3rd ..it may be the inverter for the display screen went bad ..and need to be changed..In this case if you look closely ..you have a shadow image on it..
It also may be a wrong driver being loaded or wrong settings on the driver ..settings that are not supported by the lcd screen ..and in this case will load the devices and you can see it starting ..but going black when it loads windows..and the action is to start windows in safe mode..(press the f9 or F8 to see the start modes) ..and in safe mode remove the video driver and install it again ..or try to engage the system restore for it ..and restore the settings to an earlier date when it worked..
