Probem with XRS 9675 Detector

tried and tested !

That number is the signal strength indication. IF you get four beeps when that shows up and it could be E instead of 8, the unit has detected something wrong.

hello my name is kenrik. About a year i bought a radar detector everything work good for like 8 month after that my radar don't make any detection i went by a cop using a laser gun and the radar didn't detect anything so what i can do ?
the model is cobra xrs 9345

It should alarm to known locations such as door openers as these operate on the same band as police radar (X band and sometimes K band). That model is no longer serviced but you can trade it in for a newer more powerful Whistler however. For more information contact whistler at [email protected]

replace the speaker cobra sells them for a few dollars
773-889-3087 or cobra.com also if you want a new detector you can send your old one in and they will upgrade to the next higher model at a good discount ( a lot cheaper than buying through the stores .
the speakers are easy to install just plug in no soldering required .

I looked at the 9700's instruction manual, and I could not find any method for resetting the 9700 to its factory default settings. My guess is that the display has failed since there are several other posts for various other Cobra RDs where the display suddenly stopped working.

My goes dead every now an then I just give a tap to bottom and i starts working again

At the end of the power cord for the radar detector the end screws off and there is a fuse for the radar detector itself. Check it....

If that isn't the problem post back for further help.
