you could have air in the system. first try an fill the resevoir to a proper level then with engine running turn steering wheel all the way to the left until it squeals, then to the right till it squeals. repeat this several times if this doesn't cure the problem change the pump only I seriously don't that the gearbox is bad. please rate this

is it a 4X4? if so you got a axle joint knocking if just a 2wd ? then you have a bad shock or a wheel bearing problem

There could be several causes. You could need your tires balanced, you might have unevenly worn tires caused by loose steering parts or worn shock absorbers. Have a tire shop check the tires. If the vibration gets worse when applying the brakes it indicates warped rotors. If they have not reached minimum thickness they may be able to be resurfaced - however - resurfacing removes more material and takes away their ability to get rid of heat, meaning they could warp again sooner. Fast driving and hard braking causes the heat that causes warpage.
