I want to connect my craig 5.1 home theater with dvd (CHT754) to my emerson tv (LC320EM1F). When I plug everything in there is not volume control. I only get super loud. I turn the volume up and down on the tv and it only controls the speakers on the tv. I turn the volume up and down on the dvd player and nothing happens. Did I connect something wrong?
It has nothing to do with how you hooked it up, It is just not compatible with that (TV) I hate to tell you,
I received the system and hooked it up per the instructions. Innovative speaker hook up using pre-wired cables with 1/8" plugs. Started to play a DVD and everything worked fine. Then I wanted to see how it sounded with a TV broadcast. The TV hooks to the speaker system via the RCA cables. No sound. Nothing in the owners manual tells you how to select a different source. I called customer service this morning and explained the problem. The answer was they knew about it and they were working on it. They were not aware of the issue until they started carrying the line. I asked if a higher grade model would work. Nope! They do not know if the problem will ever be corrected!!! Does anyone out there know of a fix. Maybe an universal remote?

SOURCE: Volume Problem with my TV and Home Theater system
I had the same problem with mine. The solution I found was to use an optical audio cable rather than the red and white RCA audio jacks. Hope this helped.
SOURCE: No picture from Home Theater/ DVD player... only sound
Have you checked to see if your t.v remote has an input selection button ? If it does than just scroll through the inputs and see if this works.

If your remote worked everything for a few weeks and then quit, and you are sure the codes are correct, take the remote back under the 1 year replacement warranty and exchange it. It is defective.
